I-ON Communications’ global expansion through K-Data

Last month, I-ON Communications (“I-ON” or “Company”), an expert in unstructured data management and digital solutions leader, got selected by Korea Data Agency (“K-Data”), a government-affiliated organization under the Ministry of Science and ICT, as one of the 12 domestic companies to take part in K-Data’s “Data Global” program.

On June 19, I-ON participated in an event organized by K-Data where all companies participating in “Data Global” gathered to learn more about its operation and network with government agencies, consulting companies and large enterprises taking part in this program such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Oracle among others. During this gathering, the selected companies had the chance to introduce themselves, present about their business to all event participants and get to know other players in the data industry.

K-Data runs various activities and support projects related to the ICT industry, and with this particular business, I-ON will be able to obtain various benefits from the government, such participation at exhibitions both at home and abroad, attendance at overseas seminars, online and offline advertising etc., to support the global expansion and international marketing of its Sports Tech solution. The Company, a leader in the Korean, and an emerging player in the global Sports Tech market, will use this program to expand its Sports Data Platform business to overseas countries, with special focus on the USA and England. I-ON has been active in the US sports data industry for a while now, working with important players in the American Football field, and with the support of K-Data, will be able to speed up the process of establishing a strong position locally.

“Last year, we got selected as one of the leading sports companies in South Korea with the highest ability to advance and reach their full potential in the overseas market, by Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. K-Data’s “Data Global” business will without a doubt expedite our expansion to the States and help us promote Sports Data Platform to a broader audience,” said Bruce S. Lee, Head of International at I-ON Communications.
