K-Solution Fair 2017 - Thailand

Other than Japan, I-ON got off to a good start a couple of years ago with its business in Thailand and since then it has been localizing its products to cater to Thailand customers.

In an effort to deepen understanding of Thailand market, I-ON participated in an event held in Bangkok on November 20 and 21. Organized by Korea NIPA (National IT Industry Promotion Agency) and KICC (Korea IT Cooperation Center), the event facilitated an exchange of information on Thailand ICT market and business meetings between Korea and Thailand ICT companies.

On day 1, Detecon, a subsidiary of German T-Systems international GmbH specializing in telecommunications technology consultancies in Asia shared information on Thai ICT market from both business & technology perspectives, overview of Thailand 4.0 and government’s initiatives towards building digital economy. There was also a role play session to practice Thai business etiquette tips and first-hand experience in negotiation and partnering with Thai companies.

We learned that Korea Busan Smart City is modeled after a Phuket Smart City Project, one of the Thailand 4.0 initiatives. As an energy related solution vendor in Thai market, I-ON can also become a model in terms of Thai energy market in the near future.
